Android reference
The Android app stores secret values, pairs with CLI clients, and decides whether requests may use those secrets. This reference describes the screens, fields, actions, defaults, and outcomes in the app. For tasks involving both the phone and CLI, see the feature guides.
Setup and navigation
Section titled “Setup and navigation”On first use, device setup claims a pairing address and lets you choose how the app uses Android authentication. If Lock Agentknock is enabled, the app lock screen appears before you can access the main screens.
The initial tab is Requests; restored navigation can reopen the tab you were using. The three main tabs divide incoming work by purpose:

Tab badges count requests that need your action in that tab; counts above 99 display as 99+. An upload or pairing attempt therefore contributes to its own tab’s badge, rather than the Requests badge.
Select a list item to open its details and available actions. On larger screens, the list and selected details can appear side by side. A request notification opens the corresponding item in its tab, after any required setup or app unlock.
Request types
Section titled “Request types”Each request has a different decision screen:
- Secret use reviews the requested secrets and command.
- SSH authentication reviews a server authentication attempt made by a running command.
- Git signing reviews the exact content to sign, including commits and tags.
- Secret upload reviews proposed secret content before storing it.
- Pairing verifies a new client before establishing access.
The Requests reference explains shared decisions, AI review, temporary access, and delivery states. A request reaching its final delivery state does not prove that the command or remote operation succeeded.
Settings
Section titled “Settings”Open Settings from the app bar. The settings overview links to authentication and backup information, notifications, plan and billing, audit history, app information, and factory reset.
Secret approval modes and client overrides live in secret details. Client suspension and revocation live in client details. Global AI instructions are edited from Secrets.
